Description
Ramūnas Čižas preserves culinary heritage in the Zarasai region. He is the fourth generation of brewers in his family, producing beer from a recipe passed down since 1863. Visitors learn about brewing, from preparing barley grains to the finished product. Beer tastings take place in the exhibition rooms, alongside old brewing tools and objects that belonged to Bronius Čižas. In summer, visitors can taste roe deer, red deer, wild boar, beaver and wild poultry. Food is prepared using authentic old Lithuanian recipes.
