Description
Not far from the Stelmužė manor site, in the Lygumai forest, lies the Lygumai Stone. It is 18 metres long, but most of it is still hidden underground – it may even be bigger than the famous Puntukas. The surface of the Lygumai Stone is very wide. It is said that hunters used to gather here to discuss their affairs. The stone also has its own legend: the Devil Giant (no wonder it is also called the Devil's Stone) hurled it to the ground, and everything shook so violently that hills and hollows appeared, while the stone itself sank almost entirely into the earth.
