Description
The Traditional Crafts Centre occupies Antazavė Manor, built by the Plater counts in the late 18th century. In 2020, the manor rooms were renovated and woodcarving, weaving and pottery workshops were installed in the basement. Facilities support traditional regional crafts: paper cutting, Easter egg decoration, making straw toys, ornaments and hanging decorations, wool felting and joinery. The centre runs educational sessions and bookable workshops, develops traditional craft projects, offers non-formal and continuing education for children and adults, demonstrates crafts, provides Culture Passport programmes and organises exhibitions by certified national heritage craftspeople.
